Using the fountain pumps

Few main features of fountain pumps:

  • First of all, one should determine the quantity of water which the pump is capable of circulating in the fountain. Fill the pool or pond with water using the gallon jugs to keep an account of the water filled.
  • Select the specific filters compatible with the fountain pumps. They collect algae and debris which gets accumulated in the water and decreases the quality of water.
  • The height and style of fountain spray should be determined properly. Then choose a pump nozzle set compatible with the pump.
  • Affix external electrical cable to the plug of the pump; don’t plug in the outdoor outlet.
  • Keep the pump in the pond or pool or other water feature, suitable for balanced flow of filtration of water. Depress the suction cups at the bottom of the pump tightly to the foot of the pond.
  • Bolt fountain nozzle connection on to the plastic tube connected to the pump. Screw the nozzle on to the tube tightly. Water will be able to spray around the nozzle if it is not tightly secured.
  • Now, connect filter compartment to the side hose of the pump. This tube is threaded so that the filter can be screwed tightly on to the pump. Now, one can also plug outdoor cable into the external outlet.
  • Now, the fountain pumps are ready to operate. Follow the instructions on the package for testing the pump.
